Come And Be!

Some of us have experienced Europe as a place where the emphasis is on being, and enjoying each day. Here in North America, there seems to be more of an emphasis on doing, and achieving.

We can be left with a feeling that we haven't done enough. Then, we can be left with a feeling that we aren't good enough.

There are some encouraging words that we can say to ourselves and to others.

When our family members welcome people into our home - friends and other guests - we say, "come and be, come and be". That means that no particular words or actions are expected - just enjoy yourself!

When my children were small, I would say to them, "I love your you", and I'd encourage them to say, "I love my me."

We are infinitely precious; we are one of a kind.

We are complete. We aren't perfect, and we don't have to be; we can be learning and growing. Nothing can affect our profound innate self-worth.

We are enough.
